Holidays
Jewish holidays begin and end at sunset. Therefore, all Jewish holidays begin the evening before the calendar date. On certain holidays, work is not permitted: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, first and second days of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Shavuot, and the first, second, seventh and eighth days of Passover/Pesach.
